The face of gaming has changed very much, not just in the last decade, but even just a year or two. It wasn't so long ago, that we were sitting near our TVs, hard wired to our gaming devices via our controllers. We waited years for manufacturers to come out with cordless controllers which weren't a bulky, clunky general rip off, we wanted the real deal.
We at last got it, and before we knew it, we were being offered controllers that you had to basically move or point at the monitor! The technologies seemed to go beyond the needs of the user, and now was waiting on customers to catch up. The PC game controller always seemed to be highly advanced in the mid 90s and early 2000s, but it always needed to be pushing itself with titles such as flight simulators and the likes.
The USB game controller was always perfect and easy to program to work on any game you desired, but somehow always came across as a job just for nerds.
